The Noosa Federation of the Arts will present The Archies and Friends, an exhibition of paintings submitted by Sunshine Coast artists who have entered the Archibald, Wynne, Moran and Sulman prizes in 2009.

The exhibition will be held from 7 July -16 July at Noosa Blue Resort. Any Sunshine Coast artist that has entered any of these awards in 2009 is eligible to enter. This exhibition offers artists the opportunity sell their paintings, showcase their art and also chance to win the first prize of $2,000 and a People’s Choice prize of $500.

The $2000 Prize Award will be selected by a panel of four judges, Mr Timothy Fairfax, AM Grazier, Company Director & Philanthropist, Cr Lew Brennan a fine artist in his own right, Dr Lisa Chandler, Lecturer in Art and Design Faculty of Arts and Social Sciences, University of the Sunshine Coast and John Waldron, Cultural Heritage and Collections Manager, Sunshine Coast Regional Council.

A $500 people’s choice prize will be awarded at the conclusion of the exhibition, patrons can cast their vote during the exhibition.
